一, 直接上网方式

由于PDA主要是为便携使用的, 所以PDA直接连接上网设备的情况一般很少采用. 而且设备厂商也没有提供相应的驱动程序软件, 微软Pocket PC 2002/2003操作系统也仅仅提供很少/有限的直接上网设备连接支持, 如: 没有提供Pocket PC版的PPPoE软件. 因此, 要使PDA能够直接连接上网设备就一定需要采用第三方开发的软件和驱动程序. 但是, PDA用户如果真的想这么使用的话, 不要担心找不到相应的软件和驱动程序.


1. 同PC

PDA应该可以象PC一样外接Modem/ISDN/ADSL/Cable/FTTB直接上网.

1) 串口

a. 串口Modem

微软的Pocket PC 2002/2003附带支持的Modem驱动程序, 如:

2) 并口

惠普HP Jornada有一个并口配件the optional HP parallel printer cable (F1274A), 应该是为PDA连接打印机准备的. 康柏并非如惠普那样的打印机出身, 所以iPAQ没有并口配件.

b. 并口ISDN适配器

有此类接口的产品. 不过不可能有针对PDA的ISDN外置适配器驱动程序软件.


3) USB接口

a. 估计USB接口Modem和ISDN适配器的厂商未必能够提供针对PDA的驱动程序软件.

有此产品, 但是生产厂商没有提供针对的PDA驱动程序.

7) LAN/WLAN网卡

内置了WLAN卡或配置了CF LAN/WLAN卡的PDA可以象PC一样使用LAN/无线AP连接后直接通过ADSL/Cable/FTTB宽带上网.

需要针对PDA的第三方PPPoE软件, 这个微软的Pocket PC 2002/2003好像都没有提供. 目前, 好像也没有第三方开发的PPPoE for Pocket PC 2002/2003的软件版本.

PDA一般不会采用此种方法上网. 因为既需要电话线, 又需要配备具有PCMCIA插槽的扩展背夹才能使用, 造成成本过高.

3. PDA特有

当然PDA的Modem还有红外线Modem/CF Modem卡/CF GPRS卡/SDIO GPRS/CF CDMA卡等非PC类的特殊上网方式.

如果真的有红外线Modem的话, 原则上也应该可以在笔记本上面一样使用.

至于配置了CF/SD读卡器的PC是否也可以通过CF Modem卡/CF GPRS卡/SDIO GPRS/CF CDMA卡直接上网主要是涉及到CF Modem卡/CF GPRS卡/SDIO GPRS/CF CDMA卡厂商能否通过针对PC的驱动程序. CF Modem卡/CF GPRS卡/SDIO GPRS/CF CDMA1X卡厂商一般不提供支持PC的驱动程序. 这是因为一般很少人会傻的这么使用来上网.



二, 间接上网方式(类似代理或路由)

1. 借助PC

PDA直接以串口/红外线/USB/蓝牙Bluetooch等接口连接PC或笔记本使用微软ActiceSync软件通过PC或笔记本间接上网.
